Ferris Sprue Waxes

Fully refined to eliminate impurities, Ferris Wax Sprue Rods burn-out quickly without expansion or residue. Perfect for building even the most demanding sprue systems.

Ferris Sprue Rods are available in five time tested formulas and in 1/2", 3/8", 1/4" diameters, plus 6, 8, 10, and 12 gauge diameters. Standard lengths are 6" (152.4 mm) and packaged in 5 ounce (142 g) or 1 pound (454 g) boxes.

Ferris Sprue Waxes Ferris Red Sprue (#12)
This is our most flexible wax sprue rod featuring a regular hardness and a low melting temperature.

Ferris Yellow Sprue
Formerly known as Freeman Yellow Sprue, this formulation offers a similar flexibility to the Ferris Red Sprue, but with a higher melting temperature, making it more advantageous for certain applications.

Ferris Light Blue Sprue (#2571)
This is a less flexible sprue than our Red or Yellow sprue, most often preferred by those casting larger rings and other pieces of jewelry.

Ferris Light Green Sprue (#2120M)
This is a medium hard sprue rod that is tougher and more rigid than Ferris Red or Yellow Sprue. Perfect for general-purpose casting.

Ferris Dark Green Sprue (#2112-J)
This is our hardest wax sprue rod, featuring our highest rigidity and stability. Ideal for the largest lost wax assemblies.
